Redefining Indoor Display with True Full-Color, Near-Zero Power E-Paper

【April 08, 2026, Taipei】IRIS Optronics, a long-term leader in true full-color Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Display (ChLCD) e-paper technology, officially unveiled its latest display product, ecosticker™. Centered on the core features of "long-duration display, near-zero power consumption, and true full-color imagery," ecosticker™ redefines the technical possibilities of indoor displays. Moving beyond previous applications focused on outdoor or public information sectors, ecosticker™ brings e-paper technology into indoor environments—closer to daily life and spatial aesthetics—responding to market demands for both energy efficiency and high visual quality.

Albert Liao, Chairman of IRIS Optronics, stated, "From the display technology and system architecture to the final product design, ecosticker™ was entirely developed and manufactured in-house by our team, demonstrating our R&D depth in extending from core technology to full system integration. As for whether we will sell it directly under the IRIS Optronics brand or collaborate with hardware brand partners through licensing, we will remain highly flexible and plan according to specific market and application demands."

Full-Color and Long-Duration Display: No More Choosing Between Energy Savings and Color

ecosticker™ utilizes true full-color ChLCD technology, allowing images to remain stable for long periods after a refresh with almost no additional power consumption. It can render delicate imagery with approximately 16 million colors, breaking through the color limitations of traditional e-paper. Compared to conventional displays that require constant power, ecosticker™ consumes virtually no energy when the image is static, allowing the device to truly integrate into daily spaces without becoming an energy burden.

The newly announced 10-inch version features a resolution of 1024 x 768. Thanks to its reflective display properties, content remains clear under standard indoor lighting. Images can be updated wirelessly via Bluetooth and support a wide range of common image formats. IRIS Optronics pointed out that the design core of ecosticker™ is to ensure that "display" is no longer synonymous with plugs, wiring, or high energy consumption, but instead exists in a way that is more attuned to the space and usage context.

Lightweight and Flexible Deployment: Making Displays a Part of the Space

In terms of system design, ecosticker™ emphasizes lightweight construction and high deployment flexibility. The entire unit weighs only about 600 grams and is powered by a rechargeable battery. It requires no drilling or permanent construction and can be mounted on walls, display cabinets, or various indoor spaces, significantly lowering the entry barrier for indoor display implementation. This makes it particularly suitable for retail spaces, exhibitions, indoor navigation, and lifestyle venues—anywhere that requires frequent content updates without wanting to damage the structure of the space.
