[Tainan, January 6, 2025] Cholesteric liquid crystal technology leader IRIS Optronics announced a strategic partnership with Universal Travelware, which is also located in the Tainan Shalun Science Park. This collaboration will combine the resources of both companies to create a full-color e-paper demonstration area at Eminent's creative tourist factory. The aim is to leverage the visitor traffic at the tourist factory to increase public awareness of low-carbon, energy-saving, full-color e-paper, thereby promoting the widespread adoption of e-paper and achieving the sustainable vision of energy conservation and environmental protection.

IRIS Optronics has set up a full-color e-paper demonstration area at Eminent's Creative Tourism Factory, with the aim of collaborating with outstanding local partners in Tainan to explore the possibilities of full-color e-paper.At this venue, the two companies are showcasing Eminent’s product images and descriptions using a 10.1-inch e-reader, digital photo frames, a 13.3-inch digital table sign, and a 27.6-inch full-color advertising display, thereby creating a more energy-efficient tourist factory. Eminent has long been renowned for its innovation and trendy designs, with its products pursuing exquisite color reproduction. The focus of this collaboration is to leverage the superior color performance and extremely low power consumption of IRIS Optronics’ cholesterol liquid crystal full-color e-paper, which perfectly aligns with Eminent’s dual requirements for “realism” and “energy efficiency”; Through real-world applications, the features of full-color e-paper are fully demonstrated, effectively reducing the costs associated with printing paper advertisements and manual replacement at the tourist factory.Wan Guo Channel estimates that through its collaboration with IRIS Optronics, prioritizing the replacement of paper advertisements that require frequent changes could reduce paper consumption by at least 50% annually.
